Our philosophy and values

Appreciation, honesty and genuine cooperation - this is what characterises our actions. As a family-run hotel, we live hospitality with heart, down-to-earthness and a deep connection to the region. Our hotel is not a place of grand staging, but one where you naturally feel at home. Because you realise: it's people who count here, it's the real thing that counts.

We believe that a warm welcome means more than any luxury, that an honest conversation has a more lasting effect than perfectly rehearsed service. For us, genuine encounters take centre stage - characterised by openness, respect and warm interaction. We don't just want our guests to go on holiday with us, we want them to arrive, take a deep breath and feel that they are in the right place. A time-out that does you good.
Uncomplicated, honest and with genuine warmth.

Your host family Wildauer

For generations, the Wildauer family has run the hotel with heart, reliability and a deep connection to the region.

Josef and Elisabeth Wildauer were the innkeepers for over 40 years and still provide support today whenever there is a need or a helping hand is needed.

Since 2021, the management of the hotel has been in the hands of son Christian. As a trained chef and qualified sommelier, he combines culinary sensitivity with an open, friendly manner. Always sporty outdoors in his free time, his family with girlfriend Martina and sons Raphael, Philip and dog Balu now keep him on his toes.

His sister Viktoria is also an integral part of the team - she provides flexible support in all areas, be it the office, service or kitchen, and makes the Wildauerhof shine with her passion for flower arrangements.

What do they all have in common? The joy of genuine togetherness and their profession.

A place that has it all

Between the Kaiser Mountains and Lake Walchsee lies a region that inspires: with pure nature, charming villages, alpine pastures and lakes. Whether spring, summer, autumn or winter - here the adventure starts right on your doorstep.

The history of our hotel

1965 - The opening as Sportpension Tyrol

Josef and Anna Wildauer open the Wildauerhof in 1965 - at that time under the name ‘Sportpension Tyrol’. The first guests are welcomed with great dedication and family charm - the foundation stone for a genuine Tyrolean hospitality tradition.

1970 - The first outdoor swimming pool

Just five years after opening, the facilities are expanded: an outdoor swimming pool is built, making the Wildauerhof a popular summer address in Kaiserwinkl - ideal for families and active holidaymakers.

1982 - New generation takes over

Josef Wildauer and his wife Elisabeth take over the hotel. Together they invest a lot of heart and soul in renovations, new rooms and cosy parlours - the Wildauerhof continues to grow, but remains family-run.

1990-2020 - Ongoing expansions

Whether it's the farmhouse parlour, wine cellar, panoramic sauna or new rooms - modernisation continues over the following decades. Josef remains faithful to the kitchen, Elisabeth organises the house with a great deal of overview.

2021 - Christian takes over

Christian Wildauer has been running the business since 2021. As a trained chef and qualified sommelier, he stands at the cooker himself - with a passion for quality and a keen sense of good flavour.

Today - family business with handshake quality

With Viktoria as an all-rounder in the team, the Wildauerhof remains what it has always been: a warmly run family hotel. Everyone helps out - whether in the kitchen, in the office or in service. Quite simply: Genuine. Tyrolean. Wildauer.
