Winter holidays in the Kaiserwinkl
The beauty of ice and snow
When the snow begins to cover the Kaiserwinkl region with a thick, soft blanket, skiers, snowboarders, cross-country skiers, and winter hikers head to Tyrol. Various ski regions, idyllic winter hiking trails and an extensive network of prepared cross-country ski trails will invite you to practise your favourite winter sport.
Skiing
Perfect ski areas for beginners and advanced amateur skiers are a matter of course; families will know their children in the best possible hands in the ski kindergarten or the children’s adventure world. The popular family ski region Zahmer Kaiser lies only 500 metres from the doorstep of the Hotel Wildauerhof. Within the Kaiserwinkl, the free ski bus will take you to the valley station of your choice - the perfect solution for a carefree ski holiday.
Cross-country skiing
Cross-country skiers reign supreme at the Walchsee: Nothing short of 244 kilometres of cross-country ski trails - classic as well as skating - will enable extensive training and diverse rounds in the Kaiserwinkl. A cross-country ski trail runs directly past the Hotel Wildauerhof. With special services for cross-country skiers such as a lockable ski room, wax block, info material and the possibility to wash and dry your clothes, nothing stands in the way of a carefree holiday.
Activities in addition to skiing
You do not only want to go skiing or cross-country skiing in Tyrol? Those who plan a winter holiday in the Kaiserwinkl can look forward to much diversity. Winter hikers will enjoy the snow-covered landscape on the many winter hiking trails or snow-shoe hikes. Those looking for action and fun can try one of the natural toboggan runs (also with free toboggans to hire) or the snow tubing piste. Or how about ice skating or even a horse-drawn sleigh ride? Numerous events will complete your unforgettable holidays at the Walchsee!
