Pull on your ski boots and off you go: the Zahmer Kaiser family ski resort is located close to our family hotel in Walchsee. So all you have to do is throw your skis over your shoulder and your day can begin! Perfect family slopes await you and your children, where little snow bunnies can keep up with mum and dad.

The Walchsee ski school teaches beginners how to weave their way down the slopes, whilst intermediates and advanced skiers can blow off some steam at one of the other nearby ski resorts. You won't find just easy runs, but also more challenging ones.

Active days at the Walchsee Lake

When the landscape around the family hotel in Walchsee is covered in a splendid winter dress, skiing is not the only thing you can do with your loved ones. Snow tubing is incredibly fun and aspiring athletes will enjoy blowing off steam whilst cross-country skiing.

Make your way through forests and across pastures by following cleared hiking trails. Maybe you will even discover an animal trail to follow? When the sun begins to set behind the mountains it's time for a horse-drawn sleigh ride or a toboggan ride with a stopover at a cosy hut. After you have indulged in all sorts of Tyrolean specialities your ride home will be especially thrilling. Once you return to the family hotel, you can snuggle up in a very comfortable bed. The next day of your holidays at the Hotel Wildauerhof will be just as great!

Innsbruck, Kufstein, Kitzbuehel, St. Johann, Schwaz, Hall... Tyrol has so many picturesque little villages perfect for a family outing. Enjoy a day of sightseeing, shopping and just wandering about.

The days from the first day of advent until epiphany are full of customs and traditions in Kaiserwinkl and also the rest of Tyrol. Events such as Christmas markets, Krampus and Perchten attract visitors from all over the world and are especially spectacular for children.

The city of Salzburg with its world famous Christmas market is only an hour away and Munich is just as close, which is well worth visiting even outside of beer garden season.
